Kathakali Designed Terracotta Horse from Bankura

In the Bankura district of West Bengal, a Kathakali Designed Terracotta Horse, often called the Bankura horse, can be found in the Terracotta village of Panchmura. Initially used for village rituals, it now adorns drawing rooms of many all over the world. It is particularly adored as it symbolizes Indian folk art from Bengal. It is popular for its abstraction of basic values and elegant poise.
